Ein Chatbot reagiert auf eine Frage mit einer Antwort. Ein Assistent hilft bei einer Aufgabe, wenn man ihn Schritt für Schritt anleitet. Ein Agent bekommt ein Ziel und arbeitet es selbstständig ab.
Wie ein Agent arbeitet
- Verstehen: Was soll am Ende herauskommen?
- Planen: Welche Schritte sind nötig?
- Handeln: Werkzeuge nutzen – Mails lesen, Dateien öffnen, rechnen.
- Prüfen: Passt das Ergebnis? Wenn nicht, nachbessern.
Ein Beispiel
Ihr schreibt: „Bereite für die Anfrage von Firma Schmidt ein Angebot vor.“ Der Agent liest die Anfrage, sucht die passenden Positionen, rechnet mit eurer Preisliste, erstellt das PDF und legt euch einen Mail-Entwurf vor. Ihr klickt auf „Senden“ – oder korrigiert vorher.
Und die Kontrolle?
Gute Agents arbeiten mit klaren Grenzen: Sie dürfen nur bestimmte Werkzeuge nutzen, und wichtige Aktionen brauchen eure Freigabe. So bleibt der Mensch am Steuer.

A chatbot responds to a question with an answer. An assistant helps with a task when guided step by step. An agent gets a goal and works through it independently.
How an agent works
- Understand: what should the outcome be?
- Plan: which steps are needed?
- Act: use tools – read mails, open files, calculate.
- Check: does the result fit? If not, improve it.
An example
You write: "Prepare a quote for the request from Schmidt Ltd." The agent reads the request, finds the matching items, calculates with your price list, creates the PDF and presents an email draft. You click "send" – or correct it first.
What about control?
Good agents work within clear limits: they may only use certain tools, and important actions need your approval. That keeps the human in charge.
